first chapter critique
We will read through your first chapter (up to 3000 words) and give it a light copy edit. This will give you an idea of what level of editing you may need. You will also receive general feedback on the chapter to show whether it works to capture your audience’s attention.

proofreading
When proofreading, we provide a new set of eyes on a work that has already been edited and needs a final look before it gets published. Going through your work, we will look for:
- Any remaining errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Formatting (added or missing spaces, wrong quotation marks, etc.)
- Stylistic inconsistencies (spelling, numeration, capitalisation).
- Word choices (confusion between homophones, etc.).

high-level proofreading
This is for works that have either had some editing done already or are polished enough to only need moderate editing and proofreading. We will bring a fresh set of eyes and look for the following:
- Everything from regular proofreading, PLUS
- Syntax and awkward phrasing.
- Some fact-checking.
- Flagging potential plotholes.
- Noting repetition.
